Just go on www.PetSmart.com/Friskies and after following five (yup, only five) easy steps, you’ll be having a super grumpy pumpkin carving of your own to share with all of this year’s trick-or-treaters! You can share your Grump-O-Lantern masterpieces on social media by using the hashtag #Grumpkin.
In fact, a few days ago – Grumpy Cat came up close and personal with someone or shall I say “something” that is just as grumpy… the first ever Grump-O-Lantern which was created by Ray Villafane (who is known as the “Michelangelo of Pumpkin Carving” according to Martha Stewart). This fantastic event took place at a PetSmart near Phoenix, Arizona. Weren’t able to see this epic moment live in Phoenix, Arizona? No worries! Friskies shared an incredible video of the wonderful Ray Villafane creating the Grump-O-Latern in a time-lapsed video.
Ray Villafane stated, ““Sculpting distinctive pieces is a serious passion of mine that has allowed me to meet many fascinating people and celebrities over the years, but I haven’t come across anyone as furry and grumpy as Grumpy Cat! Teaming up with Friskies and PetSmart to bring the Grump-O-Lantern to life with my own personal touch using the exclusive stencil has been such a fun experience for me. What’s great about this stencil is that you don’t have to be a skilled sculptor to create a Grump-O-Lantern that will impress all the neighbors.”
