Article: Nickelodeon Launches Noggin – A Mobile Subscription Encouraging Education And Fun For Pre-Schoolers!


If we look around us today we can clearly see how technology is running much of our lives and our daily activities – from doing research for a school project, to texting a friend to parents paying bills, most of what we do involves some sort of technology. Now with the technological era in full swing, even some young children have their very own iPhone or iPad. Today, February 25, 2015, during Nickelodeon’s Upfront presentation, Nickelodeon announced the launch of Noggin – a mobile subscription for pre-schoolers available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch starting March 5th in the App store for $5.99 a month.

Noggin encourages education and entertainment for pre-schoolers. According to the press release, “Noggin’s content at launch will include award-winning, education-based series, including: the ground-breaking Blue’s Clues, Little Bear and Ni Hao, Kai-lan, among others; music videos featuring kids’ favorite Nick preschool characters; and the return of the beloved Moose and Zee characters hosting educational videos that can help kids learn letters, shapes, matching and other important skills to get ready for kindergarten.”

Noggin will include fan-favorite shows including Allegra’s WindowBlue’s CluesBlue’s Room, Franklin and Friends, Little Bear, Ni Hao, Kai-lan, and many more!

According to the press release, “We are reintroducing the Noggin name with this new mobile service because of its built-in equity with moms and as a signal of the high-quality preschool content that will be curated for it,” said Cyma Zarghami, President, Viacom Kids and Family Group.”

Noggin will definitely be something pre-schoolers would love to have and use! The press release states, “Noggin serves as a complement to the highly successful Nick Jr. app, a TV Everywhere platform for preschoolers. The Nick Jr. app features a live linear feed of the Nick Jr. television channel and on-demand episodes of the net’s current series, via paid-TV subscriber authentication, plus interactive activities and educational moments.”
