February marks the magnificent celebration of Black History Month, and as we all continue to become more and more inspired by the influential and extraordinary individuals in both the past and present, the remarkable Nickelodeon and Because of Them, We Can have teamed up yet again for another set of PSAs that are absolutely exceptional! This year, Nickelodeon will debut two new PSAs with the one and only, sensational Coy Stewart from Nickelodeon’s Bella and The Bulldogs, along with children portraying distinguished individuals including Rosa Parks, Mae Jemison, Barack Obama and Malcom X. The PSAs will be available on air as well as digital and social platforms of Nickelodeon.
This is the second year that the outstanding Nickelodeon and Because of Them, We Can have teamed up together to continue to leave viewers in awe. In addition to the two, new PSAs, three 30 second PSAs from last year’s campaign which highlight the unforgettable contributions of Maya Angelou, Muhammad Ali and others will replay.
Coy Stewart touches the hearts of everyone and continues to prove himself as a terrific role model as he states in the PSA, “Because of my parents, I’m able to follow my dreams. Because of Sidney Poitier, I’m able to be an actor. Because of President Barack Obama, I’m able to believe that African Americans can do amazing things. Because of Martin Luther King, I’m able to have a dream…” To hear more of Coy Stewart’s inspirational message, check out his PSA below!
