MTV is known for bringing out some of the most epic and unforgettable award shows. I mean, some of the most iconic and memorable moments in entertainment history have happened at an MTV award show stage. Well, that’s exactly what happened this past weekend as MTV showed NYC what it really is like to be the “City That Never Sleeps” with its stupendous and legendary MTV Video Music Awards which took place on August 28, 2016 at the renowned Madison Square Garden.
There were an endless list of highlights from the event and there is no wonder as to why the VMAs continue to be a trending topic. Should we begin with how Drake professed his love for Rihanna since “he was 22-years-old” as he presented Rihanna with the Vanguard Award? Or should we talk about all of the outstanding musical performances including that of Queen B’s, Britney Spears and G-Eazy’s, Rihanna and more? What about the “Final Five” presenting an award and getting a hug from Beyonce? Or do we begin with all of the awe-inspiring and spectacular white carpet event attires that so many of our favorite celebrities rocked at the event? No matter where we begin, we will end off by saying this: MTV yet again brought another masterpiece of an award show and it truly was a legendary night.
In case you missed it or if you just want to celebrate even more the extraordinary achievements of your favorite celebrities, here is the full list of winners at this year’s 2016 MTV Video Music Awards courtesy of MTV.com.
