Whoooo lives in a pineapple under the sea?! Join iconic, animated characters: SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks, and Plankton for even more fun adventures in Bikini Bottom as it has just been announced that the legendary and number-one animated series across all TV with kids, Spongebob SquarePants has been picked up for its twelfth season! Nickelodeon recently announced the extraordinary news that we all will get to look forward to even more exceptional episodes with the pickup of season 12 of Spongebob SquarePants, which will make its way on over to our TV screens in 2019 – the 20th anniversary year of the hit show. This news follows the recent announcement of a third SpongeBob SquarePants theatrical from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies which will also be airing in 2019.

Spongebob SquarePants is a show that generations after generations enjoy watching. It’s a phenomenal show filled with tons of good laughs, unforgettable memories and it has definitely allowed friendships to be created and familial bonds to get even stronger. Cartoons and animated shows are clearly a crucial part of every child’s life and SpongeBob SquarePants is one show that has undoubtedly made a tremendous impact in everyone’s life.

Over the many years that SpongeBob SquarePants has aired on our TV screens, many renowned celebrity guests have joined in on all of the excitement and lent their voices to some special characters. Celebrities including Amy Poehler, Mark Hamill, David Bowie, Alton Brown, Johnny Depp, Dennis Quaid, Ricky Gervais, Rosario Dawson, LeBron James, Tina Fey, Craig Ferguson, Will Ferrell, P!nk, Victoria Beckham, Kristin Wiig, Ginnifer Goodwin, John Goodman, Andy Samberg, Johnny Knoxville, Bob Barker, Betty White, Aubrey Plaza, Jon Hamm, and many more have all guest-starred on SpongeBob SquarePants. We wonder which celebrities will voice the role of characters in this twelfth season.

We’re so ready to make some more Krabby Patties and hang out with Spongebob, Patrick and the rest of the awesome squad. Season 11 of SpongeBob SquarePants premieres later this summer on Nickelodeon. We’re so thrilled over the news of the season 12 pickup of our favorite animated show. It goes without saying, SpongeBob SquarePants is truly a masterpiece of a show.
