Alexisjoyvipaccess: You are a marvelous actress. Can you tell us what inspired you to focus your life around acting?

Lisa Linke: Thank you! That is a very kind thing to say. I have always been a performer, being a child extrovert in a family of introverts will do that. I found improv and made that a huge part of my life. I kept feeling like I couldn’t see any other path where performing wasn’t the primary focus. After I quit consulting and became a full-time performer in Chicago, I just kept wanting to work more and more, so five years ago I moved out to LA and I’m so glad I did!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: You star in the hilarious Amazon Prime series, “Successful People.” What is the atmosphere like working on the show?

Lisa Linke: That show is so much fun! Artie O’Daly and Theresa Ryan, the creators, are so much fun on set and are very laid back. I was around for the first season in one episode and we had so much fun that they brought me back for the second season in more episodes – the same role, Kimberly Hawkes. That character is the most annoying woman on earth and I love her dearly — she’s the most fun to play! Working on a web series is super fun because it’s a smaller set usually, so you get to know everyone. I already knew the director/DP team, Ryan Lagod and Craig Tovey, and they are a blast to work with. They shot my web series “DOG MOMS” the year before. It felt like hanging out with old friends every day I was on set.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: We can’t get enough of all of the super funny moments from “Successful People.” What is your favorite episode from the series?

Lisa Linke: Oh my gosh, there are so many! My favorite episode is the one where I return in season two. My eyebrows are very extra in that episode and I kept making Artie laugh when we were on the couch. If you watch the extras & outtakes, I keep him cracking up time after time and it was so much fun. I also love the video shoot episode. I was wearing a buck wild jumpsuit and raspberry beret. Yes. I really was.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: You also recently guest-starred in the hit Disney Channel show, Bunk’d. What was that experience like for you?

Lisa Linke: That was such a great week for me. It was my first guest star and we shot that last November, so I’ve been waiting for it to come out! It was a fun episode and I was in about half of it, which was a great experience. I had a stunt double, got dunked in water, had food all over me – a real introduction to kid’s comedy. I loved every second of it and I met so many cool people that week on set. Plus, I love performing in front of a live audience, so that was just the cherry on top.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: You have worked on the Netflix series, “Love.” What was your favorite memory from working on the show?

Lisa Linke: This is a great trip down memory lane! I shot that last summer and it was so hot, but everyone was having so much fun. The crew on that show was just top notch and that set was really the nicest. The cast and the whole production were so great. I got to work with Kathy Baker, who is an amazing actress and a lot of fun to watch work. I got to do some scenes with her and chat with her about her career and her life in between takes. I’ve been so fortunate to work on so many great projects.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: If you could work alongside any other actor or actress in a future project, who would you like it to be?

Lisa Linke: Oh, man. It would have to be someone who loves to improvise. Amy Schumer or Melissa McCarthy or Leslie Mann. All of those ladies love to improvise and it would be a dream to play with them on set!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: What would be your dream role to portray?

Lisa Linke: If there was some sort of bumbling, well-intentioned idiot… I kind of feel that I would knock that out of the park because people don’t expect that from me.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: What are some other upcoming projects that you’re working on that fans can stay tuned for?

Lisa Linke: Thank you! There are a few things that are exciting: I shot something for Hulu that I can’t talk about yet… but stay tuned! I just shot another episode of Teachers for their third season. “DOG MOMS” will be released on Amazon Prime September 1st! And, every Sunday on Instagram, people can join me live for #SuggestionSunday, my improv show that they can watch from anywhere! 12:30 PT / 3:30 ET.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Lastly, if you could bring out one message to all of your fans, what message would that be?

Lisa Linke: Oooh, good one. Let’s see. It’s a tossup between: “Adopt, Don’t Shop” and “Recycle Everything You Can.” Both are important!
