As what the great Coco Chanel once said, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself” and that’s exactly what was celebrated at the brilliant SIMPLY LA event that took place at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, California on August 11, 2018. The event had everything and more that you could ask for – from tons of spectacular celebs and influencers to amazing and insightful panels, an endless amount of exceptional brands and terrific, networking opportunities.

Attendees were able to decide between two, different tracks – either the Influencer Track or the Digital Marketing Track. SIMPLY LA guests who chose the Influencer Track were able to enjoy extraordinary panels including the “Grow Your Engagement: Increasing Your Visibility On Social Media” panel which featured Alisha Marie, Sazan Hendrix, Ale La Chula and was moderated by Sara Snyder. Other panels that were a part of the Influencer Track included “Land Your First Deal: The Art Of Negotiation,” “Squad Up: When To Grow And Scale Your Business” (which featured Lilit Caradanian, Lauren Bushnell, Marcel Floruss, Beca Alexander and was moderated by Nina Ojeda), “Monetize Your Influence: Turn Your Blogging Hobby Into A Career,” “Styling In The Digital Age: Powered By The Only Agency” and “Create Your Voice & Make An Impact” featuring Lo Bosworth, Lauren Elizabeth, Rachel Levin, Stephanie Shepard and was moderated by Sydne Summer. The Real talk show host, Jeannie Mai was supposed to be a part of a panel earlier in the day but was stuck at the JFK airport. After getting off of her flight, she rushed straight on over to SIMPLY LA to join in on the fun and still took part in a panel later on in the day. She is a true #MVP and jet-setter and everyone at SIMPLY LA appreciated what she did to be a part of this marvelous event.

The Digital Marketing Track had some incredible panels for those who want to dive into the business side of things. Panels at the event included “Interpreting Analytics: Influencer Marketing Tools That Work,” “SEO: What It Means And Why It’s Valuable,” “Influencer Campaigns: What To Expect,” “Content That Sells: Building Successful Social Media Ads,” “The Power Of The Micro-Influencer: What Follower Numbers Really Mean,” and “Mastering Marketing: Advice From Top Social Media Directors.”

Two, special keynote panels also took place at the event. SIMPLY LA kicked off in the morning with a keynote presentation by Shadowhunters actress, Emeraude Toubia. SIMPLY LA ended in a memorable way with a keynote panel by Kat Graham. The Vampire Diaries star, who will also be voicing the role of April O’Neil in the reimagined, 2D animated series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Nickelodeon, talked about all of her exciting, new projects including her sunglasses line, Foster Grant. Graham spoke about how she creates her outfit based on what kind of sunglasses she puts on first. She revealed that her fave kind of #OOTD is wearing a vintage T-shirt, a simple pair of jeans and some stand-out, funky sunglasses. Kat Graham rocked an amazing pair of sunglasses at the event.

Lo Bosworth, creator of the stellar women’s wellness company called Love Wellness, talked all about how she was able to find true happiness in her life and find inner peace after having a hard time dealing with the aftermath of being on reality TV. Through her terrific company, Bosworth has helped many women with self love and confidence.

In addition to joining in on all of the panels, attendees were also able to discover new beauty and fashion brands through the several activations that were at the event. OGX hair products, Who What Wear, LUNA Bars, TOTALEE, BH Cosmetics, FHI Heat, Grey Goose Vodka, Foster Grant, Bless Box, Bellevue, Endless Summer, MiniLuxe, Ographr, Ladurée, Sugarfina and many other magnificent brands were at SIMPLY LA to add extra fun and excitement.
