Three words can instantly put the biggest smile on our face and those three words are: Kids’ Choice Awards! Nickelodeon has done it yet again! The renowned network brought together some of the biggest celebs in the worlds of TV, movies, music and social media all for one slime-filled and spectacular night at the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, which took place on March 23, 2019 at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. It goes without saying that this year’s award show was absolutely epic and truly unforgettable. With appearances from fan-favorite stars including Chris Pratt, Adam Sandler, Noah Centineo, Lana Condor, Bebe Rexha, JoJo Siwa and many more plus an excellent performance from the sensational group Migos – the Kids’ Choice Awards was the trending topic worldwide and it definitely was an event nobody wanted to miss out on.
Music mogul DJ Khaled brought his major key alert to the KCAs as he was the host for the extraordinary event. In the wise words of DJ Khaled, the night was filled with tons of “fan luv” as attendees at the award show and viewers at home were excitedly supporting, voting and cheering on all of their fave celebs to win big at the Kids’ Choice Awards. The KCAs is truly the greatest award show as it joins together people of all ages and allows them to let go of their worries and just enjoy everything that embodies being a kid. For a host as awesome as DJ Khaled, a memorable entrance to the award show is only fitting. DJ Khaled never fails to impress and he entered the Kids’ Choice Awards by riding in a Rolls Royce Phantom, then heading on a luxury yacht and finally taking the “Kids’ Force One” helicopter to make his way on over to the award show. DJ Khaled got a little help from his friends to kick off the KCA party with video appearances from Kylie Jenner and the Jonas Brothers.
Many incredible celebs made their way on over to the USC Galen Center to join in on all of the fun at the KCAs. Celebrities including Ally Brooke, Lana Condor, Joel Courtney, Machine Gun Kelly, Asia Monet Ray, Jennifer Hudson, Jack & Jack, Liza Koshy, Caleb McLaughlin, Janelle Monáe, Shameik Moore, Bebe Rexha, Kiernan Shipka, Lilly Singh, SSSniperWolf and Jason Sudeikis; cast members of Shazam! (Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer and Zachary Levi) and Fuller House (Andrea Barber, Soni Nicole Bringas, Candace Cameron Bure, Michael Campion, Elias Harger, Jodie Sweetin and Scott Weinger), plus Nickelodeon stars from Henry Danger, Cousins For Life and Knight Squad all enjoyed attending the event. Migos got fans up on their feet dancing along as they sang a medley of their hit songs: “Walk It Talk It,” “Stir Fry,” and “Pure Water.” Our friends from Bikini Bottom also gave fans a special treat! The cast of SpongeBob SquarePants: A Broadway Musical brought extra joy with their performance of a medley of “Best Day Ever” and the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song. These performances were definitely the icing on top of the cake.
Of course, the Kids’ Choice Awards had a countless amount of magnificent highlights. Viewers were able to get some special sneak peeks to highly-anticipated movies. The cast of Disney’s Aladdin: Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott entered in the KCAs on a magic carpet and gave fans a look at the upcoming film. Dora and the Lost City of Gold cast-members: Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez and Michael Peña gave fans their first look at the movie that everyone is looking forward to seeing. In addition, fans were able to see a teaser of Shazam! from cast-members: Zachary Levi, Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer.
Other amazing highlights from the event included a dance-off between DJ Khaled and JoJo Siwa, which ended with DJ Khaled having to wear one of Siwa’s bows after losing the dance competition. In addition, Will Smith and a bunch of kids, Chris Pratt, Josh Peck, Adam Sandler and social media star David Dobrik were doused in tons of slime.
This year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards was certainly the best one yet. This exceptional event shows what it’s like to have fun, fun and some more… fun! The Kids’ Choice Awards is truly one of a kind and is definitely the best time of the year for everyone.
