VIPAccessEXCLUSIVE: Fan-favorite Celebs Were Doused In An Epic Amount Of Slime At The 2018 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards – RECAP Here PLUS Find Out The Winners From The Award Show!

26 Mar

Here’s a math equation you’ll actually like: Amazing celebrities + fantastic, orange blimps + TONS OF SLIME = the best award show ever – the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards! The renowned and prestigious Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is one award show that we all get so excited for and we eagerly wait for it to make its way on over to celebrate kids’ favorites in pop culture. This award show is one event that people of all ages love and enjoy. For the kids, it’s an award show that is filled with so much fun (and slime) and an endless amount of terrific moments. For teens and young adults, it helps us relive all of our favorite childhood memories and honors the things we can’t get enough of in the entertainment world – from social media trends to blockbuster hit movies and beyond. And for adults… well, who doesn’t want to see their kids gleaming with joy while they watch the Kids’ Choice Awards?!

Once again, Nickelodeon surpassed everyone’s expectations with another stupendous and extraordinary Kids’ Choice Awards, which took place on March 24, 2018 at the Forum in Inglewood, California. This year’s award show was even bigger, better and SLIMIER than years prior. WWE icon John Cena did a magnificent job being the host with the most for the second year in a row at the KCAs. He brought his unrivaled energy to the award show and he even brought some of his Cena “family” members to join in on the fun. For example, below, we see Fuller House‘s Candace Cameron Bure feeding baby Cena. We also can’t forget Nana Cena’s appearance at the award show too – talk about a whole lot of laughs!

Mmmm, yummy! Would you eat a spoonful of #slime? 👶💚 #KCA

Of course, a Kids’ Choice Awards isn’t complete without a whole lot of celebs and this year’s award show had a countless amount of legendary celebrities who made their way onto the orange carpet to enjoy this exciting day. Celebrities including Mike Tyson and his family, Odell Beckham Jr., Lamar Odom, Channing Tatum, Heidi Klum, Travis Barker and his family, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Laurie Hernandez, Chloe Kim, Yara Shahidi, Kristen Bell, Hailee Steinfeld, Zendaya, the cast of Stranger Things: Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin and Sadie Sink, amongst many, many others attended the event. On top of the star-studded list of celebs who came to the KCAs, many of them even got honored with a special, slime dousing. (C’mon, who wouldn’t want to be slimed?!)

Some of the many unforgettable slime attacks that took place at the KCAs included Heidi Klum and Mel B getting slimed while presenting an award on a swing-set hovering over a slime pool (sounds risky to begin with!), Liza Koshy (who won the award for Favorite Funny YouTube Creator at the event) was slimed not just once but twice at the event and our #bae Shawn Mendes even got buckets of slime poured on him as a surprise from Henry Danger‘s Jace Norman. The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards ended off with the host himself, Mr. John Cena getting a slime pouring after the crowd got a share of slime too.

Have you ever wondered what #slime feels like? These stars got DRENCHED at #KCA! 💚

The outstanding KCAs got everyone up on their feet with two, spectacular performances. Multi-threat JoJo Siwa took on the stage and brought extra happiness to the event with a fabulous medley of her hit songs “Kid in a Candy Store,” “Hold the Drama,” and “Boomerang.” The lovely and accomplished, young lady also won the award for “Favorite Musical YouTube Creator” at the event. The profound band, N.E.R.D. got everyone dancing along to their exceptional performance of their chart-topping track “Lemon” and had a bunch of talented, kid dancers up on stage to dance along with them. It definitely was one big ‘ol party at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

The KCAs gave the power to the kids and it was all up to YOU guys to help your favorite celebs win big at the award show. Fans were able to vote in a total of 19 categories including four new ones: “Favorite Funny YouTube Creator,” “Favorite Musical YouTube Creator,” “Favorite Dance Trend” and “Favorite Instagram Pet.” In fact, fans were even able to have their voices heard and join in on some live moments at the KCAs. Fans were able to vote and see Black-ish star Marsai Martin wear a pair of “Guac Socks” (yes – it’s as gross as it sounds – guacamole socks!) in an “Eat It or Wear It” challenge. Social media stars and YouTubers Alex Wassabi and LaurDIY took part in a “Fear Box” challenge that fans were able to vote on what they stick their hand into. This award show emphasized the importance of kids being kids and cherishing their childhood. It’s fun to be a kid!

Social media sensations also had an excellent time being Nickelodeon’s KCA prankstars at the event. Brooklyn and Bailey, Alex Hayes, the Stokes Brothers and more took on some challenges and had an epic, prank battle amongst one another.

Other celebrities in attendance at the event include Jace Norman, Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Breanna Yde, Lance Lim, Jade Pettyjohn, Aidan Miner, Ricardo Hurtado, Tony Cavalero, Lilimar, Owen Joyner, Savannah May, Lexi DiBenedetto, Amarr Wooten, Daniella Perkins, Madisyn Shipman, In Real Life, Forever In Your Mind, Riele Downs, Ella Anderson, Lizzy Greene, Peyton List, Storm Reid, the cast of Nickelodeon’s new show, Star Falls: Siena Agudong, Kamaia Fairburn, Jadiel Dowlin, Marcus Cornwall and Tomaso Sanelli, YouTuber Annie LeBlanc, Addison Riecke, Sofia Reyes, Aubrey Miller, Ser’Darius Blain, the cast of Hunter Street: Stony Blyden, Daan Creyghton, MaeMae Renfrow, Thomas Jansen, Kyra Smith, Kate Bensdorp, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte, and many more.

So many celebrities took this time at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards to encourage kids to stand up for what they believe in and make a difference in this world. It’s so wonderful seeing a network like Nickelodeon motivate kids to work hard and follow after their dreams and by doing so, they can achieve anything and everything.

I, Alexisjoyvipaccess had the greatest honor of covering and attending the 2018 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and had the most incredible time once again at this phenomenal event. If you heard that this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards was the best one yet, then you definitely heard it right! Nickelodeon is known for all of its stupendous masterpieces and they have surpassed everyone’s expectations and managed to outdo themselves yet again with the most extraordinary and sensational Kids’ Choice Awards to date. Hosted by country music superstar and The Voice coach Blake Shelton, the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards brought together some of the most magnificent celebrities you could think of, a ton of awe-inspiring, live performances and of course, a whole lot of slime! And since no Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is complete without slime, Nickelodeon added thousands of more gallons of slime during this year’s award show, and everyone was ready to be a victim of the slime dousing – from celebrities like Cameron Dallas, to the host himself Mr. Blake Shelton and even some of YOU!

This year, the epic Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards was held live from the “Fabulous” Forum on March 12, 2016. The remarkable award show kicked off with Blake Shelton getting some hosting prep talk from his friends including Adam Levine, Nick Jonas, Pharrell Williams, Selena Gomez and more. But when Blake Shelton found out that the stormtroopers were ready to take over the KCAs, Blake Shelton came onto the award show stage in some spectacular style with his super-charged chair from The Voice.

There were an endless amount of exceptional highlights from the event including Charlie Puth  and Wiz Khalifa’s unforgettable medley of “One Call Away” and “See You Again” right before receiving the blimp for “Favorite Collaboration,” a new category at this year’s award show. Silento had everyone at the event and at home hitting the whip and nae nae and had one outstanding performance of his hit, fan-favorite song. DNCE closed off the award show with a sweet treat and awesome performance of their chart-topping song “Cake By The Ocean”.

The KCAs made many decisions of this award show even more based on the power of the voters. Voters were able to use their digital devices and have their say on where the KCAs will be going to, it ended up that we all took a trip underwater (how cool?!), who will get showered with slime – Cameron Dallas or Bethany Mota (Cameron, green is a great color on you!), and we even saw Blake Shelton dressed up as a unicorn (you’ll have to see it to believe it). Also, DNCE got pranked with toilet paper by Jace Norman and Blake Shelton!

We even saw Henry Danger‘s Jace Norman surprise John Stamos with an incredible slime dousing as well as welcoming Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad to the green side. Blake Shelton even made a few more KCA celebrity guests including Meghan Trainor and John Stamos a “Throwback Thursday” victim.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards was truly a star-studded event with every one of your favorite celebrities you could think of being at the event. But then again, who would ever want to miss this extraordinary event?! Some of the many in attendance included Ellen Degeneres, Fifth Harmony (who were slimed as well after receiving their award), Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Heidi Klum, The Thundermans cast: Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Addison Riecke, Diego Velazquez, Maya Le Clark, Rosa Blasi, Game Shakers cast: Madisyn Shipman, Thomas Kuc, Cree Cicchino, Benjamin Flores Jr., and Kel Mitchell, the Bella and The Bulldogs cast: Brec Bassinger, Lilimar, Haley Tju, Rio Mangini, Coy Stewart, Jackie Radinsky, and Buddy Handleson, the 100 Things To Do Before High School cast: Isabela Moner, Jaheem Toombs, Brady Reiter, Owen Joyner, the Henry Danger cast: Jace Norman, Ella Anderson, Riele Downs, Cooper Barnes and Jeffrey Nicholas Brown, the Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn cast: Casey Simpson, Lizzy Greene, Mace Coronel and Aidan Gallagher, the Make It Pop cast: Erika Tham, Megan Lee, Louriza Tronco and Dale Whibley, the School of Rock cast: Breanna Yde, Jade Pettyjohn, Aidan Miner, Lance Lim, Ricardo Hurtado and Tony Cavalero, the Eh Bee Family, the cast of The Other Kingdom, Luke Benward, Sydney Park, Kelli Berglund, Paris Berelc, Dove Cameron, Gail Soltys, Julia Antonelli, Timothy Colombus, Jason Drucker, Kennedy Slocum, Ryan Cargill, Zendaya, Debby Ryan, Sabrina Carpenter, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer, Peyton List, Spencer List, Laura Marano, Calum Worthy, the cast of Dance Moms, Cameron Dallas, Aaron Carpenter, Taylor Caniff, Grant Gustin, Meghan Trainor, Bethany Mota and the list goes on and on.

Fans were able to have their say in 22 categories at the KCAs including two new categories, “Favorite Cooking Show” and “Favorite Collaboration,” and the award show was seen in over 180 countries and territories all over the world!
