It’s the most slime-tastic event filled with all of our fave celebs as we celebrate kids’ favorites in pop culture. From movies to television shows, social media stars, gaming and beyond, it’s all in the power of the kids to decide who will be winning big at this year’s sensational award show. Each and every year, Nickelodeon manages to surpass our expectations by making the KCAs even bigger and better than years before. Nickelodeon is making this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards major key by announcing that the host with the most for the 2019 KCAs is none other than DJ Khaled himself!
Nickelodeon got the help from social media sensation and Double Dare host Liza Koshy to announce the host and nominees for this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards. In the first-ever Kids’ Choice Awards nomination livestream, Liza Koshy went through several obstacle courses throughout the Double Dare set while announcing the nominees in categories including “Favorite TV Host,” “Favorite Movie,” “Favorite Cartoon,” and more. Koshy “started on the Sundae Slide, then completed The Tank, One Nation Underwear, Pick It, Pop Lockin’ and Liza Puffs, culminating with the big reveal of this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards master of ceremonies, DJ Khaled.” (source: press release)
DJ Khaled is known for his prolific work and incredible impact in the music industry, his witty catch-phrases and his outstanding personality. He will definitely bring so much life to the KCA stage and a whole lot of excitement and… slime!!! is bound to ensue with DJ Khaled as host.
The remarkable DJ Khaled shared his enthusiasm over hosting the Kids’ Choice Awards and said, “Father of Asahd is here to let you know the biggest party of the year is about to go up! That’s right, March 23rd I’m your host, DJ Khaled for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. I’ll see you soon!” (source: press release)

Some of the many nominees at the 2019 Kids’ Choice Awards includes Avengers: Infinity War, which leads the list of nominees with a total of 10 nominations, as well as Black Panther, Jason Mamoa, Noah Centineo, Emilia Clarke, Cardi B and many others.
This year’s award show even has some new categories including “Favorite TV Host,” “Favorite TV Judges,” “Favorite Gamer” and the “How Do You Want To Help?” category, which inspires everyone to help make a difference in the world we live in.
Fans have a big role in helping their faves win a coveted blimp at the award show by casting votes in several ways. According to the press release, “Beginning today, fans can cast votes on the official Kids’ Choice Awards website, KCA2019.com, and on the Screens Up app on supported iPad, iPhone and Android devices in the US. International fans can also cast votes through the Nick Play app in regions where it is available. Fans will also be able to cast their vote through social media on Twitter, and for the first time ever, Nickelodeon will be enabling voting on specific posts on Instagram.”
