The best superpower to have is the ability to trust in something bigger than yourself, and that’s exactly what we see in Netflix‘s touching, new film, Rescued by Ruby. Starring gifted actor, the profound Grant Gustin and an oh, so talented, special doggo, Rescued by Ruby embodies a heartfelt question we have whenever a furry friend comes into our life – who saved who?
Rescued by Ruby follows “state trooper Dan (Grant Gustin) who dreams of joining the K-9 Search & Rescue team, but no one will give him the chance. Shelter dog Ruby dreams of having a home, but is running out of hope. When fate brings Dan and Ruby together, it’s their unshakable bond that helps them face their toughest challenge yet” (source: press release).
The remarkable movie is based on a true story and we could already tell that it will definitely be bringing all the feels. Rescued by Ruby is inspired off of the short stories, “Ruby: A Dogwink Story” and “Dogwink Ruby” by SQuire Rushnell & Louise DuArt. The uplifting film is directed by Katt Shea and is set to make its paw-some premiere on March 17 on Netflix. In addition to the aforementioned Gustin, the flick also stars Scott Wolf.

Rescued by Ruby is a heartwarming story that shows that a dog truly is a person’s best-friend and when you have someone believing in you, anything is pawsible. We know that Rescued by Ruby is bound to be one of our new favorite dog movies to watch over and over again!
