Can you keep a secret? Seriously… can you? Well, it’s no secret that Vertical Entertainment and BCDF Pictures’ film, Can You Keep A Secret? is bound to be a smashing hit and it’s a rom-com that will definitely be at the top of everyone’s “Favorite Movies” list. Starring Alexandra Daddario and Tyler Hoechlin, and based on the best-selling novel by Sophie Kinsella, Can You Keep A Secret? is a light-hearted and incredibly funny film that will have you laughing from start to finish. The only warning while watching this film is: be prepared for your stomach to hurt from laughing so much.
In Can You Keep A Secret, Emma Corrigan, played by Alexandra Daddario, is a New York City marketing manager who had an unsuccessful client meeting. As she headed on a flight home after a crummy day, luck is on Emma’s side when she’s offered an upgrade to a first-class seat. While sipping on some champagne and enjoying the first class life, Emma’s trip doesn’t go as planned when the flight experiences some severe turbulence. Seeing her life flash before her eyes, Emma decides to spill all of her secrets to the stranger sitting next to her. Except there’s one thing – that “stranger” just so happens to be her company’s charming and handsome CEO, played by Tyler Hoechlin, who now knows every embarrassing detail about her. But, what Emma learns is that honesty is the key to any successful relationship.
This extraordinary film clearly showcases Alexandra Daddario and Tyler Hoechlin’s incredible, on-screen chemistry. They make the perfect duo and it’s such a joy to watch them work alongside each other on the big screen. Daddario did an exceptional job capturing the essence of her character Emma Corrigan. She allows viewers to join Emma through this rollercoaster called life – from having a bad day at work, to getting stuck in a rut with her romantic life and having some awesome friends she can always count on to help her get through it all. Hoechlin always excels in every project he works on and he brought his suave, down-to-earth and charismatic personality he has in real life to the silver screen.
Can You Keep A Secret? also stars the phenomenal Laverne Cox, Sunita Mani, Kimiko Glenn, Kate Easton and Sam Asghari. The film has a countless amount of unforgettable one-liners, hilarious scenes and cringe-worthy moments we all could relate to. The movie is very entertaining to watch and there truly is never a dull moment. Each of the cast-members added their own flair for acting that made their characters so memorable and essential to the story.
The terrific cast including Alexandra Daddario, Tyler Hoechlin, Laverne Cox, Kimiko Glenn and director Elise Duran had a magnificent time celebrating the premiere of Can You Keep A Secret? on August 28, 2019 at the Arclight Cinemas Hollywood in Hollywood, California. Even the adorable dog in the film posed for photos on the red carpet with cast-mate Alexandra Daddario. The night was truly special and everyone had a big smile on their face attending a premiere of such a sensational film. An after-party took place at Beauty & Essex in Hollywood.
