Wild cats everywhere, wave your hands up in the air because it’s time to get your head in the game with the much-anticipated premiere of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series on Disney+ tomorrow, November 12th. It goes without saying, the High School Musical trilogy is an absolute classic. From the hit songs to all of the magnificent characters, there’s an indescribable magic about each of these movies that makes you want to watch them over and over again. Needless to say, when word got out that there was going to be a new series focusing on the High School Musical production, we couldn’t help but bring out all of our High School Musical merch, soundtrack CDs and posters… for, you know, research purposes (*wink, wink*).

One of the first series to launch on Disney+, the streaming home for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series “follows a group of students as they countdown to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical” (source: press release). The brilliant series includes new characters and features some docu-style elements that gives a fresh take on the iconic movie franchise. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is comprised of 10 outstanding, scripted episodes set in the real-life East High, where the original movie was filmed.

We all can resonate with at least one of the many phenomenal characters in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The terrific show is brought to life by some of the most immensely-talented and gifted stars who act, sing and dance so remarkably. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series focuses on East High juniors Ricky and Nini, who just recently took a pause in their relationship. Surprised to see his ex-girlfriend Nini with a new boyfriend, Ricky and his best-friend figure the only way to get Nini back is for Ricky to audition for a role alongside her in their school’s production of High School Musical. This stellar series has the perfect blend of amazing music from the iconic movies, friendships, drama, laughs and unforgettable moments.

Creator and executive producer, Tim Federle truly created a masterpiece with this series and he handpicked a group of extraordinary stars who took his vision to another level. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series stars Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Dara Renee’, Julia Lester, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Larry Saperstein, Kate Reinders, and Mark St. Cyr. With their impressive and show-stopping vocals, their sensational, acting skills and their out-of-this-world dance routines, the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series truly is bringing a beautiful start of something new to our screens.
