It’s time to take out your Handy Dandy Notebook because we’re giving you three clues about a show that’s making its way back onto Nickelodeon! First clue: it stars an adorable, blue, furry friend who we all know and love. Second clue: the show has a brand new, amazing host named Joshua Dela Cruz. Third clue: it’s an iconic show that kids and parents will enjoy watching together. Have you figured it out? Yup! We’re talking about the return of Blue and her crew in Nickelodeon’s reboot of Blue’s Clues titled, Blue’s Clues & You! Bringing this remarkable, preschool series to a new generation of kids, Blue’s Clues & You! will allow viewers to join Blue and new host Josh on a countless amount of fun and educational adventures.
In the series premiere titled, “Meet Josh!” airing tomorrow, November 11th at 1:00 PM ET/PT, viewers will be reunited with former Blue’s Clues hosts Steve Burns (Steve) and Donovan Patton (Joe), who will reprise their roles in the first episode and help Josh and the audience solve their first game of Blue’s Clues. The return of this outstanding show comes at the perfect time as those who grew up watching Blue’s Clues and have kids of their own can now watch Blue’s Clues & You! with their own families and create new memories, while others can watch it with their friends to reminisce and enjoy the nostalgia. Blue’s Clues & You! allows for great co-viewing opportunities that the whole family will love.
Blue’s Clues & You! features both new and iconic elements from the show including the return of the Thinking Chair and fan-favorite characters including Tickety Tock, Slippery Soap, Shovel, Pail, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Cinnamon, Paprika, Felt Friends, Sidetable Drawer and Mailbox. New elements include CG-animation for Blue and Magenta, an updated Handy Dandy Notebook with a new blue crayon and smartphone technology, a Handy Dandy Guitar and more!
Of course, one of the greatest, new elements of the show is the host himself… Joshua Dela Cruz! With a strong background in theatre and having appeared on Disney’s Broadway production of Aladdin, Dela Cruz is a multi-talented and brilliant actor and is a perfect choice to take on this terrific role. Dela Cruz’s warm and exuberant personality will instantly capture the hearts of kids and parents and he will make a great impact on the lives of all viewers.
One of the many things parents loved about Blue’s Clues was how interactive the show was. Nickelodeon will deepen the interaction between Blue’s Clues & You! and kids watching through the launch of play-along videos in Noggin, Nickelodeon’s top-ranked interactive learning subscription for preschoolers. According to the press release, “the play-along videos will allow users to explore the stories in an immersive way, and engage with live-action host Josh and the animated characters, by tapping, touching or swiping to navigate through enhanced learning experiences. Preschoolers will also have the ability to customize elements, like the color of the clues or the creation of birthday cards for Blue, and then see their designs appear throughout the video.”
Needless to say, preschoolers and people of all ages are super thrilled for the exciting premiere of the groundbreaking series, Blue’s Clues & You!
