Pop-up museums are certainly one of the greatest trends. Well, there’s an amazing… and delicious, new pop-up museum that has popped onto the Los Angeles scene and we’re talking about Dumpling & Associates! This scrumptiously-cute pop-museum is all about… you guessed it… dumplings and it merges tradition, culture, design and art all into one spectacular space. This outstanding pop-up museum is bringing all of the excitement to ROW DTLA from December 3, 2019 through March 5, 2020.
Dumpling & Associates is created by ZJZM, a group of incredibly talented artists, architects and designers. The pop-up features a 5,500 sq. ft space filled with several, unique and awe-inspiring rooms. Attendees at the pop-up museum get to jump into a jacuzzi filled with squishy dumplings, pose by a blinged-out dump-BLING, and even swing on a giant garlic — think Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” but in garlic form.
ZJZM and CEO / Founder, Tim Zheng have truly created something brilliant with Dumpling & Associates. ZJZM strives to make their exhibitions an experience and Dumpling & Associates is an unforgettable experience indeed. According to the press release, “ZJZM is inspired by the everyday and the issues that face us as a society to create artistic experiences for those who dream in a visual language.”
Needless to say, after perusing through dumpling-inspired artwork and installations, you’re bound to start craving for… well, dumplings, of course! At Dumpling & Associates, attendees even get to try tastes of dumplings from Momma Fung & Co. There are also food trucks outside the museum and opportunities to purchase rainbow steamed buns – another perfect pic for your photo-opp filled day.
The remarkable pop-up museum opened its doors for a special VIP Preview event that took place on December 2, 2019. Celebrities including Ariel Winter, Gregg Sulkin, Patrick Starrr, Luke Benward and many more had a fantastic time at the immersive experience showcasing their love for dumplings and snapping Instagram-worthy pictures.
Actor Gregg Sulkin shared his terrific time at Dumpling & Associates as seen in the photo below on his Instagram account. Along with the post, Sulkin wrote, “These are called Spring Cutlets. They represent guardianship of your health, family, friendship, prosperity. With 2020 approaching, sometimes you are faced with an option to go down different paths. I will say, when I’ve been decisive in life & chosen to follow one with confidence and determination, it has always turned out just fine. So believe in yourself. Work hard.
