If you’re anything like us, you can’t help but watch musicals like High School Musical and Camp Rock on constant repeat. Well, say hello to your brand new, musical obsession – Netflix’s A Week Away! A heartwarming story, a spectacular cast and the most remarkable soundtrack, needless to say, A Week Away will definitely establish itself as another iconic, musical masterpiece.
The sensational film stars profound and prolific actress Bailee Madison and the terrific actor Kevin Quinn and follows “troubled teen Will Hawkins (Quinn), who has a run-in with the law that puts him at an important crossroad: go to juvenile detention or attend a Christian summer camp. At first a fish-out-of-water, Will opens his heart, discovers love with a camp regular (Madison), and sense of belonging in the last place he expected to find it” (source: press release).
Netflix recently released the official trailer for the film and we literally can’t contain our excitement for the film’s release on March 26th. The movie has such a beautiful storyline that will resonate with a lot of people. There are great moral lessons about love, growth and finding yourself. Plus, the MUSIC AND THE CHOREOGRAPHY!! It goes without saying, you will be left speechless just from the trailer alone.
A Week Away also stars Jahbril Cook, Kat Conner Sterling, Iain Tucker with David Koechner and Sherri Shepherd.
To hold us all over until the March 26th release date, the official A Week Away soundtrack will be available for pre-order on February 26th. There will be a release of three early singles: “Let’s Go Make A Memory,” “Place In This World,” and “Best Thing Ever (Stage Version).” Stay tuned for the full 13 track album, set to release on March 19th at all digital streaming providers. The album will also include special features by Johnnyswim, Tauren Wells and Riley Clemmons.
Bailee Madison shared her enthusiasm over the release of her film’s trailer and shared the post as seen below on her Instagram account. Along with the post she wrote, “A Week Away – Friends, everything’s about to change..
