
There is no event more slime-tastic and absolutely sensational than the prestigious Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards! Although many changes have been made to adapt to the pandemic, the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2021 brought an unrivaled amount of excitement giving kids and families at home the most stellar and slime-sational escape. Hosted by actor, comedian and Saturday Night Live legend Kenan Thompson, the 2021 KCAs, which took place live on March 13, 2021, was truly unforgettable and had a countless amount of surreal surprises that put big smiles on kids’ faces.
The outstanding night was filled with big wins celebrating kids’ favorites in the worlds of movies, TV shows, music, social media, sports and beyond. One of the many highlights from this year’s spectacular event was worldwide phenomenon Justin Bieber’s awe-inspiring performances of his hit song “Intentions” with Quavo and a medley of his amazing, new songs, “Hold On” and “Anyone.”

Kids were also treated with a very special message from none other than the admirable, trailblazing Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, as part of the show’s Generation Change presentation, which recognized kids’ strength and courage to create a better world for future generations.
“Thank you to the young leaders for being so incredible and for all that you do and will do,” said Vice President Harris. “From social distancing to remote learning, you’ve been through a lot this year, but, through it all, you young leaders have really stepped up.”

The Kids’ Choice Awards is known for being all about the slime, slime and more slime, and this year’s awards show truly represented with an unparalleled amount of spectacular slimings. Fans were able to see celebs including prolific actor, Robert Downey Jr., consummate actor, singer, director and playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, social media sensation Charli D’Amelio, actress, host and comedian, Liza Koshy and KCA host Kenan Thompson all rock the color green and have epic slime moments throughout the awards show. In fact, this year’s KCAs even set a Guinness World Record for the most simultaneous slimings!
Renowned actor Robert Downey Jr. has and continues to have an incredible amount of brilliant successes throughout his magnificent career in the entertainment industry, but getting slimed at the Kids’ Choice Awards was definitely a top honor for him.

To add onto all of the excitement, fans got an exclusive sneak peek at the new PAW Patrol: The Movie with fantastic appearances from members of the voice cast including Kim Kardashian, Tyler Perry, Yara Shahidi and Marsai Martin.
Winners at the marvelous awards show include Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, BTS, Charli D’Amelio, Simone Biles, Jace Norman, and many more.

More phenomenal stars joined in on all of the KCA fun including Gal Gadot, Millie Bobby Brown, BTS, Addison Rae, Sofía Vergara, David Dobrik, Tiffany Haddish, Anna Kendrick, Dove Cameron, Heidi Klum, Terry Crews, Dixie D’Amelio, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Joshua Bassett, Anthony Anderson, Dani & Dannah Lane and Iain Armitage; as well as Nickelodeon stars: JoJo Siwa, That Girl Lay Lay, Side Hustle stars Jules LeBlanc and Jayden Bartels, Unfiltered stars Gabrielle Nevaeh Green and Darci Lynne, and Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan star, Dylan Gilmer aka Young Dylan.
The exceptional night even included a wonderful reunion of the iconic iCarly cast-members: Miranda Cosgrove (Carly Shay), Jerry Trainor (Spencer Shay) and Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson) as they presented the KCA for “Favorite Movie.” Okay, who else is just counting down the days until the highly-anticipated iCarly reboot?!

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2021 was a one-of-a-kind awards show and featured the first ever orange blimp tour around the world! Kids were able to virtually travel to outer space, Bikini Bottom and more during the awards show. The incredibly interactive awards show even presented a special KCA award to one lucky family that was chosen during the show.
Nickelodeon never fails to bring great light and hope to kids and their families, even during the most unprecedented times. The Kids’ Choice Awards 2021 brought so much joy to everyone and we’re all just reliving all of these epic KCA moments over and over again.
