We made our way to Stoneybrook, Connecticut to join Kristy Thomas, Mary-Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, and Dawn Schafer on all of their magnificent, babysitting adventures in season one of Netflix‘s spectacular series, The Baby-Sitters Club. Now, the babysitters are back for a whole lot more excitement in the much-anticipated, second season of the series set to debut on Netflix on October 11th. The young ladies’ business is expanding, new opportunities are just on the horizon and it’s time to go on a marvelous journey with them as they navigate school, friendships, relationships and being awesome, hard-working teens.
This second season has even more terrific surprises in store — including two, new members to the club: Mallory Pike (played by Vivian Watson) and Jessi Ramsey (portrayed by Anais Lee). It was also announced that Kyndra Sanchez will be taking on the role of Dawn Schafer moving forward in season two, as Xochitl Gomez, who played the role in season one, booked a thrilling, new project.
In the first season, viewers got to enjoy watching the power of female friendships on our screens. Young girls watching the series were able to have five, sensational role models of amazing, middle-school girls who truly embodied an entrepreneurial spirit. Needless to say, this stellar cast, consisting of Sophie Grace, Malia Baker, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudolph, Alicia Silverstone, Mark Feuerstein, Marc Evan Jackson and former BSC member, Xochitl Gomez, all truly hold a special place in viewers’ hearts. And now, we’re thrilled to welcome new members to the cast: Watson, Lee and Sanchez with open arms.
It’s time to say hello to the people who care, because nothing’s better than friends! The outstanding news of the season two pickup was announced in October 2020 with the phenomenal video shared below on Instagram. The lovely ladies of The Baby-Sitters Club shared the news in an upbeat and light-hearted song.
Netflix gave a first look at the all new season of the seven-time Daytime Emmy-nominated series and these sneak peek photos are getting us all extra excited for the series to officially launch on the streaming platform.

Series Creator and Executive Producer, Rachel Shukert said, “In Season 2, we really get to see a maturation of the club, and of the girls. There are two new members, they’re all a year older and have more experience running a business, deeper friendships and are growing into a deeper understanding of themselves as people. We also wanted to continue exploring themes that allow all young viewers to see themselves represented on screen, while also dealing obliquely with many of the things we’ve all been through in the past year: loss, change, responsibility, and trying to find joy and meaning in unexpected places. The Baby-Sitters Club truly is a gem of a show – from its incredible representation of admirable, young, female entrepreneurs all from different backgrounds to emphasizing girl power in each and every scene. This fantastic series is one that we all have needed. It instantly makes us feel so good while watching it and it goes without saying, it’s a show we love binge-watching over and over again.
