Lady Gaga said it herself, “I’m so proud to be by your side every day.” And just like Gaga, we are so proud to support and cheer on the revolutionary hairstylist, Frederic Aspiras every step of the way. Aspiras’s great passion for hairstyling started at the young age of 13 years old and he had a pivotal force in his life that became his number one inspiration – his remarkable mother. He learned the art of hairstyling from the best, his mom, and practiced working on his craft. Years later, Aspiras has made a name for himself as a true hairstyling visionary and an Academy Award nominee at that. He has been Lady Gaga’s personal hairstylist for 13 years and recently brought his groundbreaking work to the masterpiece of a film, House of Gucci, to further transform Lady Gaga into Patrizia Reggiani. In the film, the brilliant hairstylist created a total of a whopping 52 different looks for Gaga, a feat that led to an Academy Award nomination at the 94th Oscars Awards, along with a nomination at the BAFTA Awards.
Aspiras, who is Vietnamese and Filipino, is truly blazing the trail for the Asian community. His unmatched work ethic and his great dedication makes him a testament of the saying “hard work pays off.” He represents the Asian community in such an inspiring way and he encourages aspiring hairstylists (and simply anyone who has a dream) to just go for it. Aspiras’s looks are one-of-a-kind and they are exemplary of what iconic hairstyles look like. Aspiras is an asset and a monumental figure in the beauty world. He truly deserves every single one of his successes and the many more coming. It goes without saying, he makes his mother (and the entire world) so very proud.
