Metalheads, headbangers, and thrashers – this one’s for you! Get ready to rock on and bring out your Black Sabbath, Anthrax, and Judas Priest shirts as Netflix‘s much-anticipated film, Metal Lords releases on the streaming platform on April 8. In the movie, two high-schoolers get shredding and decide to create their own heavy metal band. As they prepare for the moment they’ve been waiting for – the Battle of the Bands – they must figure out one thing – where will they find the band’s bassist in a school full of pop music fans?

But, it looks like best-friends Hunter (played by Adrian Greensmith) and Kevin (portrayed by Jaeden Martell) are in luck when Kevin overhears his schoolmate Emily (played by Isis Hainsworth) playing the cello. Before they knew it, they’ve found their third member. The newfound group must learn how to balance school, parents, hormones and teen angst all while they practice for one of the biggest moments in their high-school lives.

The terrific film stars the aforementioned Greensmith, Martell, and Hainsworth along with Sufe Bradshaw, Noah Urrea, Analesa Fisher, Michelle Fang, Phelan Davis, with Brett Gelman, and Joe Manganiello.

Metal Lords is directed by Peter Sollett, written and produced by Game of Thrones co-creator D.B. Weiss, produced by Greg Shapiro, with Tom Morello serving as executive music producer.
