Welcome to Monster High… just remember, never knock on a closed coffin! October brings a whole lot of ghoulish fun as Nickelodeon‘s much-anticipated, live-action film, Monster High: The Movie premieres on October 6. Class is in session and vampires, mummies, and werewolves are roaming the halls as Nickelodeon, Mattel, and Paramount+ invite viewers to step inside the monstrous world of the beloved Monster High franchise.

The official trailer for the phenomenal film recently released and it’s filled with fang-tastic dance sequences, amazing songs that will make you howl, and high-fives done wrong. It’s never too early to get ready for Halloween and this movie will certainly kick off the month of shrills and thrills in a marvelous way.

Monster High: The Movie follows Clawdeen Wolf (Miia Harris, Just Beyond), who was born half human and half werewolf, after she arrives at her new school, Monster High. She quickly makes friends with her classmates Frankie Stein (Ceci Balagot, Dispatches from Elsewhere) and Draculaura (Nayah Damasen, Grey’s Anatomy), and for the first time in her life, Clawdeen feels like she has finally found a place where she fits in and can truly be herself, despite keeping her human half a secret. When a devious plan to destroy Monster High threatens to reveal her real identity, Clawdeen must learn to embrace her true monster heart and find a way to save the day alongside her new friends” (source: press release).

Monster High: The Movie also stars: Case Walker (The Other Two) as Deuce Gorgon; Kyle Selig (Mean Girls on Broadway) as Mr. Komos; Marci T. House (Day of the Dead) as Headmistress Bloodgood; Scotch Ellis Loring (Firehouse Dog) as Clawdeen’s dad, Apollo; Steve Valentine (Mom) as Draculaura’s dad, Dracula; Jy Prishkulnik (Just Beyond) as Cleo de Nile; Lina Lecompte (Death Pursuit) as Lagoona; Justin Derickson (When the Streetlights Go On) as Heath Burns; Lilah Fitzgerald (Honey Girls) as Ghoulia; and Nasiv Sall (Descendants 2) as Abbey Bominable. Just from the trailer alone, we can already tell that we’re going to be watching Monster High: The Movie over and over again. All of the costumes in the film perfectly embodies the Monster High characters we all know and love. The set design is truly awe-inspiring and will make viewers feel like they’ve made a mystical escape to join Clawdeen, Frankie, and the rest of the crew for a day at school.

And, we can’t forget about the soundtrack! We’re going to be jamming out to all of the outstanding songs from the movie. It’s time to learn all of the dances from the film and show your moves on TikTok for one big Monster High movement.

Nickelodeon is churning out a lot of Monster High excitement for fans to look forward to. In addition to the incredible, live-action musical, there will also be an animated Monster High series set to release later this year on the network.
