Well, none other than the fabulous Reagan To brought that chilling voice to life in the English dub version of the show. Although she voiced the role of a terrifying and sinister doll, the wonderful Reagan To happens to be one of the sweetest (and most talented) young ladies on this planet! A phenomenal actress and a truly gifted dancer that can’t be beat, To is the definition of what it means to be a multi-threat.
At a young age, the dazzling Reagan To is already making an everlasting mark in the industry. She landed her first acting gig in the hit series, Jane the Virgin, and has also modeled for top brands including Nike, Old Navy, Forever21, and Little Tikes. To’s voice was then heard by more than 111 million viewers when she took on the role of Young-hee, the frightening doll in Squid Game, as well as Ga-Yeong, the daughter in the show.
Aside from being a marvelous actress, To is also an exceptional ballroom dancer. Her dance skills will simply blow you away. She puts several hours every day into perfecting her craft, and it truly shows on the ballroom dance floor. The radiant Reagan To has built up a fantastic social media presence both on Instagram and TikTok showcasing herself dancing all over the world – from Paris to Italy, the Hollywood Boulevard, and beyond!

AlexisJoyVIPAccess: Congratulations on all of the spectacular success with your career! You’re an incredible actress and dancer. Can you tell us how you got your start in both the acting and dancing worlds?
Reagan To: Thank you so much! I fell in love with acting first… when I was 5 years old! I was in the hospital for intensive treatment due to a bad lung infection. My parents were worried and they stayed with me. We were watching television the whole time, and for some reason, I kept seeing kids like me in movies. I think that really stuck with me and I said to my mom that I wanted to become an actress. I feel very blessed because that year I landed my first role. It was for the television series, Jane the Virgin. I felt nervous, but everyone was very friendly! And, it was my first time on set and actress Gina Rodriguez showed me a video of her Latin dancing. I got very inspired and I said to my mom I wanted to become a dancer too. I practice every day and I feel very lucky to be an actress and a dancer. It still feels like a dream!
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: You voiced the English dub of the viral phenomenon Young-hee, the infamous doll in the hit Netflix series, Squid Game, along with the voice of the daughter in the show. What was that experience like for you?
Reagan To: It was so much fun! Going into a studio for voice roles was a new experience. It was different from acting in front of the camera. Voicing was a new way to perform for me! I thought about how the actress played Ga-Yeong for Squid Game. With my director, we figured out how to voice her in a natural way. I felt the character was a little bit like me. I think that helped me a lot! Like for some scenes with Ga-Yeong and her father, I was thinking about hanging out with my dad. It was challenging, but I really enjoy the voice performance.
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: The doll in Squid Game became a worldwide sensation with people dressing up as the character for Halloween, skits being done featuring the character in shows as renowned as Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and more. What is it like for you having voiced a role in a show that became such a big part of pop culture?
Reagan To: It still sounds crazy to me! We had no idea how big Squid Game became. One weekend for movie night, my mom and dad were like, “Let’s watch Netflix’s #1 series.” We don’t always find out the names of the projects I’ve worked on. They didn’t even know I was in it, so when it was the “Red Light, Green Light” scene, they were like, “Wait a minute! That’s Reagan’s voice!” They waited for the credits, and they looked so proud when they saw my name! We went online, and it was all over the internet. Hearing my voice on Saturday Night Live didn’t feel real. And, I still have not watched Squid Game because it is too violent for me. It honestly feels like a dream. Any day now, I am going to finally wake up!
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: Season two of Squid Game is soon approaching. If you could see anything happen in this much-anticipated second season, what would you like to see?
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: Let’s talk about your excellent dance career. You participate in a lot of ballroom dance competitions across the nation. How do you prepare for these exhilarating moments?
Reagan To: I practice two or three hours of Latin dance every day! But, I still get nervous at any competition. Before competitions, I practice even more with my partner for weeks under my dance coach, Ms. Shirley Ballas. She is the head judge of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing show. She’s just incredible and she helps me focus on our routines and dance steps. Then, on the day of the competition, the dance moves are all in my head and I feel more focused. All I need is to just give my best performance! This year, I started to compete in ballroom dancing with my amazing coach, Ms. Liana Bakhitarova. That has a different way to prepare and it’s a challenge too. I can’t wait to share my ballroom dancing videos on Instagram.
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: What does dance mean to you?
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: What’s your favorite dance to perform?
Reagan To: Latin dance! I’ve been dancing Latin dance since I was 5 years old, and I can’t stop! It has so much energy. All the moves are fun to do, and they feel happy! I love showing off my emotions and moving all over the dance floor. The dance is a mix of different dances. Jive, Cha Cha, and Samba have different energies. It makes me happy to mix different Latin styles and swing to music! I am very lucky to be sponsored by the top fashion dancewear companies – DSI and International Dance Shoes London. I feel proud and confident when I compete in their beautiful dresses and shoes. This is why I always love to perform a Latin solo dance at all my competitions.
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: If you could collaborate with any dancer in the near future and create a dance video with them, who would you like it to be?
Reagan To: Wow! This is very hard to answer! I look up to many dancers. They are very talented with their own style, so it’s tough to pick one! I’m a huge fan of JoJo Siwa, an incredible dancer. She is all about being yourself and you can see our videos on my Instagram. But, we haven’t made a dance video together yet! We were just talking about Latin dance. And, I want to collaborate with Shakira too! She also started performing very young, and that is very inspiring. Dancing and singing with the queen of Latin music? That would be a dream come true!
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: What is your go-to song to dance to?
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: You’re someone that everyone enjoys following on social media. Your videos are so creative and fun to watch. Can you tell us what the creative process is like making your TikToks and Instagram Reels? Where do you find the inspiration for your videos?
Reagan To: I like to dance to make people happy! On TikTok, I love experimenting with new dances. It’s funny because I actually get inspired from acting and auditions. I got hooked on this song called, “Around the Clock” by Bill Haley. It was really fun dancing to this rock song. The TikTok dance video got 27 million views, and it just makes me so happy that it made 27 million people smile! I get inspired more and that makes me want to go come up with more dances for my fans.
AlexisJoyVIPAccess: Lastly, if you could bring out a message to all of your fans, what message would that be?
Reagan To: I learned that every opportunity is important! Now that I’m a bit older, I still remember my hospital stay. I know I have to be careful about my health. It’s very precious, and that really stays with me. My Latin dance coach, Ms. Shirley Ballas, taught me to always give more than 100%. I never know if I’m lucky to be the top 3 dance at the World ProAm Latin Dance Championships Competition. I bring that to all my auditions too. I think that helped me with modeling and playing music. Every performance needs my best, and I know I deserve my best too! That helps me so much with staying positive and sharing that with my fans on Instagram (@Reagan_To).
