The world is a whole lot more of a better place because the unrivaled Tom Kenny is in it. When we think of all of the wonderful moments we’ve shared with family and friends from watching some of the most popular animated shows, the stupendous Tom Kenny is a big part of all of our fondest memories. Kenny is nothing short of a true legend. He has voiced the fan-favorite character of SpongeBob SquarePants for almost a quarter of a century (SpongeBob celebrates his 25th birthday in 2024), but he’s been working on the character for what’s actually almost 30 years. From all of the great SpongeBob memes to the incredibly catchy songs, Tom Kenny has brought to life one of pop culture’s most iconic characters. But, his terrific work doesn’t stop at all of the marvelous SpongeBob SquarePants memories. With the unprecedented success of the show, its impact has spawned into several movies and spinoff series including Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years and The Patrick Star Show, all projects that Kenny has shared his unmatched talent in. In fact, there was also a big crossover celebration of all three shows: SpongeBob SquarePants, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, and The Patrick Star Show in SpongeBob SquarePants Presents The Tidal Zone, which premiered in January.
The extraordinary Tom Kenny is a huge part of animation history. He has the power to put the biggest smile on people’s faces – whether it’s through his spectacular voice-over work or in real life. It’s truly awe-inspiring to see someone like Tom Kenny, who no matter how accomplished he may be, he manages to be the most down-to-earth and humble human being on this planet. He shares a big similarity to his beloved character, SpongeBob, of being a true optimist and beacon of happiness. Kenny simply lights up the room as soon as he comes in and he brings such warmth and joy to everyone around him. Needless to say, Tom Kenny is the greatest treasure we’ve been given.
