There truly are not enough words to describe just how brilliant the stupendous John Cho is. He’s established himself as a consummate and prolific actor, with over a whopping 115 credits on IMDB, and plenty more exciting roles on the horizon. It goes without saying that he’s an asset to the entertainment world and someone whose versatility is unmatched.
The unparalleled Cho first made his mark in the acting world through his work in the cult classic Harold & Kumar films and a role in American Pie. Since then, Cho has taken on a plethora of other unforgettable roles in projects including Star Trek, The Exorcist, The Grudge, Cowboy Bebop, Don’t Make Me Go, The Afterparty and many, many more. Whether he’s playing the role of a skilled, space cowboy trying to escape his past, or a doting father who sets out on a roadtrip of a lifetime to cherish every moment with his teenage daughter, Cho always gives such a powerful performance. Any project that the exceptional John Cho is a part of is bound to be a certified hit. His undeniable talent and effortless gift for acting takes every project to a whole different level.
Aside from being a renowned and accomplished actor, Cho is also a terrific author. He released his book, Troublemaker, which “follows the events of the LA Riots through the eyes of 12-year-old Jordan as he navigates school and family” (source: Hachette Book Group). The New York Times best-selling novel highlights the unique Korean American perspective and is an incredibly timely and relevant book that should be at the top of everyone’s “must read” list. The book touches on many important topics, from racial justice to representation. History lives in us, and Cho has truly made a tremendous impact, especially on the generations who will grow up reading such an important story.
No matter how many awe-inspiring successes the great John Cho has and continues to have in his career, he remains to be the most down-to-earth and humble person in the industry. He’s a pivotal figure in emphasizing the importance of representation for the Asian community. And, he allows people to forget any worries or obstacles they may have in their lives by getting to take an hour or two to watch one of his many projects. Needless to say, the phenomenal John Cho is a true genius at his craft.
