Life is all about second chances, and that’s exactly what Homeboy Industries gives. Founded by the impactful Father Greg Boyle, Homeboy Industries is the largest gang rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world. The organization works tirelessly to help formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals; and gives them a fighting chance to start anew and become contributing members of the community. It’s awe-inspiring to see organizations like Homeboy Industries be a beacon of light and a source of hope for so many people.

For several years now, consummate actors Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin have showed their support towards Homeboy Industries. They’ve worked hands on with the organization to help push its mission out to thousands and thousands of people. On April 29, the two best-friends joined together to host Homeboy Industries’ 2023 Lo Máximo Awards at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The hostesses with the most had a sensational time as they took on the stage and helped bring more awareness towards Homeboy Industries’ spectacular work. Celebrities including Diane Lane, John Cho, Michael Cimino and Lily Rosenthal attended the phenomenal event. Never Have I Ever star Cimino shared why Homeboy Industries’ mission resonates with him. He said that he lived with a friend who was a former convict for 10 years and he even offered an acting workshop for the organization as a way to give back.
