Save the date as a wedding is on the horizon! First love is given a second chance in Netflix‘s highly-anticipated rom-com, Mother of the Bride, which makes its way down the aisle on May 9. In the film, Lana’s daughter Emma comes back from a trip with some big news—she’s getting married! There’s just one thing, her wedding takes place in a month in Thailand. Oh, and another thing, Emma is getting married to the son of the man who broke her mom’s heart years ago.

From wedding dance rehearsals to pickle ball games gone wrong, a whole lot of fun (and chaos) ensues as Lana navigates being reunited again with her former flame. But, will Lana be able to play it cool or will she not be able to stop herself from falling head over heels all over again?

Mother of the Bride stars Brooke Shields as Lana and Miranda Cosgrove as Emma. The film also stars Sean Teale, Chad Michael Murray, Rachael Harris, Michael McDonald, Wilson Cruz, Tasneem Roc, Dalip Sondhi, and Benjamin Bratt.

Netflix released the official trailer for the lighthearted movie and needless to say, we are counting down the days until its release on the streaming platform. The movie is directed by Mark Waters, whose other notable works include fan-favorite movies Mean Girls and Freaky FridayMother of the Bride is written by Robin Bernheim Burger.
