When amazing changemakers gather to propel an impactful mission forward, great things happen. Another year of the inspiring Thirst Gala has arrived, bringing together celebrities, influencers, educators, philanthropists, and many others under one roof to help end the global water crisis. This year’s spectacular event once again brought magic to the SLS Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, featuring moving performances, heartfelt tributes, and countless memorable highlights.

One of the many special moments of the night was actor Karan Brar being presented with the Cameron Boyce Pioneering Spirit Award. Named after the late and great Cameron Boyce, this award is presented to the celebrity or influencer who uses their platform to raise awareness about the global water crisis and the Thirst Project’s work. A longtime supporter of the Thirst Project, Brar has motivated youth and people of all ages to support the movement through numerous PSAs and campaigns.

Brar shared his enthusiasm about receiving the prestigious award through a post he shared on Instagram. Along with the post, he wrote, “thank you so much @thirstproject for honoring me with the Cameron Boyce Pioneering Spirit Award at this year’s Thirst Gala. it truly has been a privilege working with the Thirst Project throughout the years, and a joy continuing it through the @thecameronboycefoundation ❤️ ps. massive thank you to @sundae.school for the sick fit.”

Thirst Project Founder and CEO Seth Maxwell shared words of gratitude at the event, saying, “We are always so excited to bring our Thirst Project family together by hosting our 17th Annual Thirst Gala. We are grateful to celebrate the hard work of our generous supporters while raising even more awareness and funds to end the global water crisis. As our team continues to be a force for good in the world, we can’t wait to celebrate the incredible impact we all are making in ending the water crisis.”

Many more notable celebrities also supported the event, including Jeff Garlin, Kenny Ortega, Sophie Reynolds, Libby Boyce, Victor Boyce, Chester See, Missi Pyle, and more. This year’s Thirst Gala was yet another great success, raising more than $188,000.
