JIHYO of the record-breaking global K-pop group TWICE and GRAMMY®-nominated Jamaican artist Shenseea are blessing our ears with pure musical magic on their latest single, “Distant Lover.” The phenomenal track seamlessly blends K-pop, dancehall, and Afrobeats influences, and with JIHYO and Shenseea’s undeniable talents combined, it’s truly a musical match made in heaven.
The song tells a story that many of us navigating the modern dating world know all too well: the situationship. While dating apps can be overwhelming (and often lead to burnout) and mixed signals are, well… just not it, “Distant Lover” empowers listeners to stop investing their time in someone who isn’t reciprocating that same energy and instead put that time and energy into themselves.
