Everyone has a story, and every story makes each person so unique and so fantastic in their own way. In another all new and incredibly inspiring episode of Nickelodeon’s spectacular show, The HALO Effect, the extraordinary and admirable teen that will be profiled is Princeton Carter whose work with his organization “My Brother’s Keeper NOLA” helps bring out the brave, courageous, and awe-inspiring stories of military veterans. The heart-warming and magnificent episode will air on Friday, October 14th at 9:00 PM ET / PT.

According to the press release, “Carter was inspired to help people in his community after Hurricane Katrina damaged his city and left millions of people without homes.  Through the tragedy, Carter discovered the importance of community and was inspired to create “My Brother’s Keeper NOLA,” an organization whose mission is to help bring hope to the homeless, hungry, military veterans, women and children in New Orleans and the surrounding communities in need.  The organization’s newest program was born out of learning that over 20 million military veterans are living in the U.S. with stories of bravery that have never been told or documented.  Hoping to preserve veterans’ legacies for future generations, Carter records their heroic stories and uploads them to the Library of Congress’ website.”

We are and will forever be always so grateful for everything that those who serve our country do. Already, Princeton Carter’s organization, “My Brother’s Keeper NOLA” has provided over $30,000 in resources for military families and more than 500 items including clothing, toys, and books for those in need in his community. In honor of all that Princeton Carter has done with his organization to help bring out the remarkable stories of veterans, Nickelodeon will be awarding his organization a $10,000 grant.

With each outstanding episode of The HALO Effect, the profiled teen brings out an exciting #HALOEffectChallenge to get viewers up and ready to HALO as well. Princeton Carter is asking all of you to record a story about a person who is important in your life and / or take a selfie with him / her and post it on social media using #HALOEffectChallenge. What a wonderful challenge for viewers to join in on!

“My Brother’s Keeper NOLA” will definitely be another touching and sensational episode of Nickelodeon’s The HALO Effect and we continue to be amazed with how there are so many exceptional individuals in this world who are making such a terrific impact. We all know how important technology is in our life – from having to do our homeworks and essays on the computer and submitting a printed copy of our work to our teachers, to even keeping updated with all of the current affairs in the world. It seems as though the life we live is becoming more and more reliant on technology as the days go by; and that’s why this month, in an all new episode of Nickelodeon’s stupendous show, The HALO Effect, we are celebrating Christopher Cao and his amazing efforts to help give underprivileged children access to technology. The new episode, “Reboot for Youth” airs on Friday, July 22nd at 8:30 PM ET / PT.

According to the press release, “Cao’s interest in rebuilding computers for families in need started in 2013 when he was a volunteer at GIVE, a free tutoring program for low-income families.  While tutoring, Cao met a young student who did not have a computer at home and was forced to use the public library computers each night to complete homework.  In 2014, Cao decided to start “Reboot for Youth,” an organization focused on improving educational opportunities for underprivileged children in his community, through increased access to technology.  The organization reaches out to local businesses to donate old or broken computers, which Cao and his team then diagnose, rebuild and distribute to those in need.”

It is so incredible to see how Christopher Cao is putting together his passion for technology with his love for helping others – such an inspiring story of a wonderful teen who serves as a great role model to this generation. Christopher Cao has already helped distribute over 150 computers within his community and has even helped introduce similar projects to other countries including Kenya, Costa Rica, Vietnam and Cambodia. As a result of all of his hard work and efforts to make this world a better place, Nickelodeon is awarding a $10,000 grant to Cao’s organization.

In every outstanding episode of Nickelodeon’s The HALO Effect, the profiled teen brings out a #HALOEffectChallenge so viewers can join in and show their support. Additionally, Boyer has represented the U.S. at the SAGE (Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship) World Cup in South Korea, receiving second place in the “Best Social Enterprise” category.  In recognition of her outstanding leadership and hard work, Nickelodeon will award a $10,000 grant to Boyer’s organization.”
