Nickelodeon is welcoming in the roaring 20’s in a marvelous way by making this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards even bigger and better than years before! The Kids’ Choice Awards is an awards show we all greatly look forward to year after year. The slime-tastic awards show is making its way back to the Forum in Inglewood, California on March 22nd for an unforgettable day filled with tons of our favorite celebrities, awesome performances, and of course… slime!
YouTube sensations Annie LeBlanc and Hayley LeBlanc, stars of Nickelodeon’s digital competition show, Annie vs. Hayley, got everyone extra excited for the magnificent awards show as they announced the host and nominees during a Kids’ Choice Awards nomination event across Nickelodeon’s social media platforms. The host with the most at this year’s awards show is none other than Grammy Award-winning artist, Chance the Rapper! A fan-favorite musician, Chance the Rapper is bound to bring a whole lot of fun and great charisma to the Kids’ Choice Awards stage.
Chance the Rapper shared his enthusiasm over hosting the renowned awards show and said, “I’m honored to host this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards. I watched Nickelodeon growing up and now I get to slime some of my favorite people on stage. This is going to be a party that you won’t want to miss!” (source: press release)
The multi-talented musician and father of two announced the big news on his Instagram and wrote, “🚨🚨🚨SURPRISE !!!!! 🚨🚨🚨🚨THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE, I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING! Annie LeBlanc and Hayley LeBlanc also announced the nominees for this year’s much-anticipated awards show. Leading the KCA nominees is Avengers: Endgame with 11 nominations. Taylor Swift is honored with five nominations. Frozen 2, Henry Danger and Lil Nas X have four nominations each. According to the press release, “First-time nominees include: John Cena, DaBaby, Tiffany Haddish, Tom Holland, Brie Larson, Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion.” Will Smith, who is also nominated again this year, makes Kids’ Choice Awards history by being the most nominated celebrity, with a total of 29 nominations.

This year’s Kids’ Choice Awards has even more excitement in store. For the first time ever, Nickelodeon’s SlimeFest will be heading over to the west coast for two days of pure slime, slime, slime! Taking place on March 21st and March 22nd at the Forum, chart-topping artists including JoJo Siwa, Why Don’t We, French Montana, Blanco Brown and Darci Lynne will be performing at the music festival. According to the press release, “This year’s Nickelodeon SlimeFest will feature a Sunday-only VIP ticket that includes access to a special performance viewing area, plus admission to Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020. All Sunday attendees will also have the opportunity to watch a livestream of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 on the festival screens.”
