Rugrats New Series Paramount+

A baby’s gotta do what a baby’s gotta do! Grab your trusty screwdriver and get ready for an incredibly fun ride with Nickelodeon’s much-anticipated, reimagined Rugrats series premiering on Paramount+ on May 27th. Rugrats has truly established itself as one of the most classic, animated series to date with nine, remarkable seasons, four Daytime Emmy Awards, six Kids’ Choice Awards, and even its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ are bringing all of the charm and great nostalgia from the original series to even more fans (both new and old!) with brand new adventures and excitement.

With an all-new, three-dimensional CGI-animated look, the new Rugrats series will feature amazing elements that reflect the current times (like Didi Pickles being a blogger now!), but the series will also keep all of the magic and delight that people of all ages instantly fell in love with from the original series.

As previously reported, the original voice-cast will be reprising their roles in the series. E.G. Daily (Tommy), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Cree Summer (Susie) and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil) are all back and are ready to embark on more miniature, toddler escapades.

*Cue the iconic Rugrats theme-song* Nickelodeon and Paramount+ hosted an extraordinary drive-in premiere event on May 22, 2021 in Santa Monica, California to celebrate the new series. Attendees were in for a spectacular treat as they were able to enter into the whimsical world of Tommy, Angelica, Chuckie, Susie, Phil and Lil at the event and drive through marvelous decorations from the stupendous show. Guests were even given wonderful goodie bags with tons of outstanding Rugrats treats including fantastic socks, a Reptar cereal bowl packaged inside a creative Reptar cereal box, Rugrats-inspired snacks, and more!

Rugrats Drive In Premiere

The phenomenal drive-in premiere was truly something special. A terrific individual dressed inside a Reptar costume brought big smiles to attendees’ faces while dancing to some of Justin Bieber’s greatest hits. Guests were even able to get their windshield wiped at the event! While waiting to watch the premiere of the first two episodes of the series, guests got to test their Rugrats knowledge and take on some trivia questions, which was a magnificent way for families to have some fun in their car. Rugrats voice cast-members including E.G. Daily, Nancy Cartwright, Cheryl Chase, Cree Summer, Tommy Dewey, Timothy Simons, and more made special, virtual appearances at the premiere.

Then, it was countdown time! 3… 2… 1… With a thrilling countdown from the voice-cast themselves, attendees at the drive-in event got a sneak peek at the first two episodes of the series. In the premiere episode aptly titled, “Second Time Around,” fans get to see Chuckie face his fears and show off his great courage. What does a dinosaur tooth, Grandpa Lou’s dating app and cookies all have in common?! Well, you’ll have to find out by watching the new Rugrats series on Paramount+!
