We’re walking on sunshine ☀️🌈 because it’s almost time for the double feature premiere of Nickelodeon‘s two, highly-anticipated series, The Patrick Star Show and Middlemost Post on July 9th! These remarkable, animated shows will continue to expand upon Nickelodeon’s vast universe of terrific series that bring an immense amount of joy to kids and their parents with each and every episode.
It’s showtime starting at 7:00 PM ET / PT on July 9th with the extraordinary premiere of The Patrick Star Show. It’s the moment we all have been waiting for. We’ve seen Patrick Star join his best-friend SpongeBob on some of the most out-of-this-world and thrilling adventures, but now it’s time to take a step into Patrick Star’s life as he gets to be the literal star of his own show. In the incredible series, viewers are invited into Patrick Star’s home sweet home and get to meet his quirky family members including his mom, dad, GrandPat, grandma, and his sister, Squidina. The fun kicks off as kids and their families get to join in on a lot of laughs watching Patrick Star host his very own variety show from his television-turned-bedroom.

“In the premiere episode, “Late for Breakfast,” Patrick presents a show about food after missing out on a hearty breakfast. Then in “Bummer Jobs,” Patrick and SpongeBob experience the wonders of the workforce” (source: press release).
The iconic Bill Fagerbakke, who has voiced the role of the fun-loving Patrick Star for over 20 years now, will continue to lend his voice to the sensational starfish in The Patrick Star Show. Previous voice cast-members were announced here.
The excitement continues with the back-to-back premiere of the all new series, Middlemost Post airing at 7:30 PM ET/PT. “Marking Nickelodeon’s first original animated series in five years, Middlemost Post hails from SpongeBob SquarePants’ alum John Trabbic III and follows a former rain cloud, a brawny mailman and their magical pet walrus as they deliver packages to the unusual inhabitants of Mount Middlemost. In the debut episode, “First Delivery,” while delivering a letter to a house that never gets mail, the gang goes through warfare to get to its front door. Next in “Chore or Less,” in an attempt to be more like Angus, Parker does the chores and realizes that they’re actually boring” (source: press release).

The spectacular cast of Middlemost Post consists of Becky Robinson, who voices the role of the ever so cheerful, Parker J. Cloud; John DiMaggio, who lends his voice to Angus Roy Shackelton, Parker’s boss and proprietor of the Middlemost Post; Kiren, who takes on the role of Lily, Parker’s best friend and master inventor; Colton Dunn, who voices the role of Mayor Peeve, the petty Mayor of the city of Somewhere locked in a petty, one-sided feud with Angus; and Johnny Pemberton, who lends his voice to Ryan, Mayor Peeve’s loyal assistant (source: press release).
The casts of Nickelodeon’s The Patrick Star Show and Middlemost Post were on cloud 9 as they attended the special drive-in premiere for their shows on June 23, 2021 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. Bill Fagerbakke was all smiles at the event rocking his Patrick Star-inspired sneakers and celebrating with his awesome cast-mates by his side including Cree Summer, Tom Wilson, Dana Snyder, and Jill Talley, as well as his long-time friend and SpongeBob SquarePants co-star, Tom Kenny.

“I think everyone is going to be surprised at these different characters because really, I’m [Patrick Star] the only one that everyone knows already,” said Fagerbakke in a recap video from the event. “We could not have done this without Tom Kenny directing. He knows the world better than anyone.”

“We know Patrick very well and we’ve seen a little bit of his parents, a little bit of his sister, Squidina in the past, but now, we’re going to learn a lot more about them and how they live,” said Tom Kenny, the voice of the legendary character, SpongeBob SquarePants. “I think if SpongeBob were here, he would say to Patrick, ‘Patrick, you’re stepping up to the plate. This is a whole new world for you, a whole new level – your own show focusing on you and your family. This could be your big break, don’t screw it up!! No pressure!!”

A special delivery also dropped in at the drive-in premiere – none other than the cast of Middlemost Post, who were so ecstatic to attend the event.
“My favorite part about Parker J. Cloud is… EVERYTHING!,” said Becky Robinson, the voice of the optimistic and kind Parker J. Cloud in Middlemost Post. “No spoilers, but viewers can expect that Middlemost Post is delivering a little something for everyone!”

Attendees at the exceptional event were treated to a first look at the outstanding shows. Needless to say, all guests had the biggest of smiles watching the first episodes of each of the series. Gift boxes, popcorn, and goodies galore! The drive-in premiere for Nickelodeon’s The Patrick Star Show and Middlemost Post brought an equal amount of merriment as these shows will be bringing to our screens.
