He’s SpongeBob SquarePants’ trusted best-friend and now he’s making his way onto our TV screens for his very own variety show! Ring up the curtains as Nickelodeon is proud to present The Patrick Star Show – an all new series starring none other than Patrick Star and his family. For more than 20 years now, fans all over the world have fell in love with Patrick Star’s fun-loving, happy-go-lucky personality, and now we all get to enter into Patrick Star’s world and his incredibly imaginative mind even more in his own show airing on Nickelodeon this July.
“The Patrick Star Show follows a younger Patrick Star living at home with his family, where he hosts his own variety show for the neighborhood from his television-turned-bedroom” (source: press release).
Iconic voice-actor Bill Fagerbakke will continue to voice the role of the sensational starfish.
To get fans even more excited for the series’ debut, Nickelodeon released a teaser trailer for the show and to quote SpongeBob, “WE’RE READY! WE’RE READY! WE’RE READY!!!” In the 30-second sneak peek, we all can already tell that a whole lot of fun and epic Patrick Star adventures will ensue. What else can we expect from Patrick Star other than a fantastic amount of laughs and jolly good times!
In addition to the legendary Fagerbakke, The Patrick Star Show cast consists of gifted voice-actors including “Tom Wilson (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Cecil Star, Patrick’s dad who always puts his family first; Cree Summer (Rugrats) as Bunny Star, Patrick’s loving, sea star mom who is a kooky oddball; Jill Talley (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Squidina Star, Patrick’s 8-year-old little sister who drinks her coffee from a sippy cup; and Dana Snyder (The Penguins of Madagascar) as GrandPat Star, Patrick’s genius grandpa, and the most intelligent member of the Star family. Summer also voices Grandma Tentacles, Squidward’s grandma” (source: press release).
SpongeBob SquarePants characters including the eternal optimistic sea sponge, SpongeBob (voiced by Tom Kenny), Squidward Tentacles (portrayed by Rodger Bumpass), Sandy Cheeks (voiced by Carolyn Lawrence), Mr. Krabs (played by Clancy Brown) and Plankton (voiced by Mr. Lawrence), will all be popping in throughout the series to join in on the excitement.
The Patrick Star Show marks the second spinoff series from the classic SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, following after the successful premiere of the Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years spinoff that premiered on the Paramount+ streaming platform earlier this year.
