It’s one small step for man, and one giant leap for Beavis and Butt-Head as the iconic duo embark on their next adventure… a trip to space! 🚀 There’s never a dull moment when these two are around and in Paramount+‘s new movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, we see exactly why these TV-loving teens stand the test of time as the true icons they are.
In the hysterical film, the two pals find themselves having a run-in with the law after yet another one of their many wild misadventures. As they wait for their sentence in court, the judge has a change of heart after watching Touched by an Angel, and decides to send Beavis and Butt-Head to space camp instead. But when Beavis and Butt-Head fixate on a space instrument that resembles… scoring, the slackers actually get chosen to be the ones to go out to space. When the trip to space doesn’t go as planned, Beavis and Butt-Head travel through time and end up in 2022. In the 21st century, the pair encounters all new advancements they’re not used to – everything from Siri to paying for things using the “wallet” on their phone. There’s just one thing – throughout all of their fun, they must also dodge the Governor of Texas, Serena Ryan, who is out to get them after recalling something from the past.
Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe brings all the nostalgia from the classic series – touching on things like the two’s great love for endless nachos and Beavis’s famous alter ego, Cornholio. At the same time, the hilarious movie brings Beavis and Butt-Head to a place we’ve always wanted to see them… present day. We’ve wondered what these teens would do if they ever got a hand on all of the modern tech we have today, and now we get to see their chaos right before our own eyes.
Paramount+ hosted a special screening of Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe on June 14 at the Neuehouse in Los Angeles, California.
The creative genius behind the legendary show, Mike Judge, welcomed attendees at the event. He talked about the making of this film and how it was brought to life right before the pandemic had started.
“We made this thing, we sealed the deal, [and] literally the next day, the whole world, most of it, locked down and we proceeded to make this entire movie without ever being in a room with one another,” said Judge. The special event was the first time the cast had seen each other outside of Zoom and the brilliant show creator joked about how he was “finding out how tall everyone is” the night of the premiere.
Guests then got a first look at the movie with a special screening of the film. Everyone was bellowing with laughter with all of the witty jokes and innuendos.
Afterwards, attendees made their way to the rooftop of the Neuehouse for a terrific after-party with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and in true Beavis and Butt-Head fashion… one epic nacho cheese fountain!

Every moment of the film is filled with sheer Beavis and Butt-Head pandemonium. You can always count on these two to bring all the laughs.
