It’s time to bring the thunder ⚡️ because the Thundermans are back and better than ever! It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen our favorite superhero family on our screens when The Thundermans aired its final episode in 2018. But now, this crime-fighting family is reporting for duty yet again in the highly-anticipated, new live-action movie, The Thundermans Return. The film will be available to stream on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, Australia, the U.K., Latin America and Italy on Thursday, March 7, and will premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. the same evening at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) and in multiple global markets, including the U.K., Italy and Latin America.
Nickelodeon recently released the official trailer for The Thundermans Return, and needless to say, it’s gotten us all extra excited for the movie’s release. In the trailer, we get to see all of The Thundermans stars reprise their beloved roles. It’s so great to see The Thundermans family grow up right in front of our eyes and through our screens.
The Thundermans Return stars original series cast members Kira Kosarin as “Phoebe,” Jack Griffo as “Max,” Addison Riecke as “Nora,” Diego Velazquez as “Billy,” Maya Le Clark as “Chloe,” Chris Tallman as “Hank” and Rosa Blasi as “Barb.”
According to the press release, the film “follows twins Phoebe and Max, who are enjoying their superhero lifestyle in a new city, but when one ‘save’ goes awry, the Thundermans are sent back to Hiddenville. While Hank and Barb enjoy their return, Chloe develops a new friend group, and Billy and Nora begin a normal high school life, Max and Phoebe are determined to regain their superhero status. The movie features the return of show favorites, including familiar locations, and new menacing supervillains.”
Kira Kosarin shared a touching video on Instagram of her reaction to being back at The Thundermans set six years later. Along with the post she wrote, “we’re home 🥲⚡️This was the moment I was most adamant about capturing, and I’m so glad we did. Seeing the set for the first time in 6 years, seeing each other for the first time in 6 years… it was so special. I’ll never forget it 💙 #ThundermansReturn March 7th.”
Jack Griffo shared his excitement over The Thundermans Return as seen in his Instagram post below. He wrote, “We are so back. 3/7/24 ⚡️.”
