What do hit, animated shows like Star vs The Forces of Evil, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars all have in common? Well, they are all shows that the brilliant and sensational, Adam McArthur has worked on and has lent his voice to the many fan-favorite characters we all know and love. Acting in and of itself is a great gift, but to master different kinds of acting, such as voice acting, now that takes pure talent. The incredible Adam McArthur shows how he has a one of a kind, acting talent – being able to take on the role of any character and bring it to life with the power of his voice. Being a voice actor and having to grasp the essence of each character is quite a challenge and yet the outstanding Adam McArthur does it in such an effortless and awe-inspiring way. Adam McArthur is known for voicing the role of Marco Diaz in the highly-acclaimed show, Star vs The Forces of Evil. Each of the episodes of the marvelous show are so fascinating and filled with tons of excitement and Adam McArthur definitely makes the show extra enjoyable to watch. Adam McArthur never fails at mesmerizing us all with just how genuinely talented and phenomenal he is.
I, Alexisjoyvipaccess had an excellent time interviewing the wonderful Adam McArthur and he dished exclusively to Alexisjoyvipaccess all about what inspired him to focus his life around voice-acting, what was his favorite episode to work on for Star vs The Forces of Evil, which animated character he would like to voice the role of, and so much more only in our VIPAccessEXCLUSIVE interview.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: You are such a talented and magnificent voice actor. Can you tell us what inspired you to focus your life around voice-acting?
Adam McArthur: That’s incredibly kind of you to say, thank you! You know, I’ve always loved cartoons. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to do voices but back then it just sounded like something that would be fun. Now, I love it because I get to connect with fans at an early age and we all get to grow up (for me, all over again) together. So many cartoons impacted my life when I was a kid, so it’s super cool I get to do the same for the next generations!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You star as Marco Diaz in the series Star vs The Forces of Evil. Tell us what it’s like working on the fantastic series.
Adam McArthur: Oh, man… SVTFOE is such an amazing show! We are in this era of cartoons where we’re finally getting in depth plot lines and super well developed characters. The reception from the fans has been insane and truthfully it’s all been like a huge love fest! The cast, crew, fans, Disney XD casting, Disney XD execs, we’re all one big happy family. I have the best job!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Do you have a favorite episode from working on Star vs The Forces of Evil?
Adam McArthur: There are so many good ones, but from a voice acting standpoint, my favorite episode so far is “Running with Scissors.” Marco, who’s 14, gets trapped in another dimension for 16 years, and about halfway through the episode, we get to see him as an adult. He’s gone from the “safe kid” to a ruff and gruff, Mad Max, type man. The episode has so much character development and I got to voice 30 year old Marco, too. It was like doing vocal gymnastics, it was a lot of fun.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You’ve also voiced the role of Prince Lee-Char on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. What was it like working on that show?
Adam McArthur: That job was interesting because I had no idea what I booked until I was at the studio and they handed me a script and a letter. The first sentence of the letter said, “Dear Mr. McArthur, On behalf of George Lucas, we’d like to welcome you to the Star Wars family…” After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I realized I had booked the lead in a story arc on Clone Wars. It was exhilarating! Dave Filoni, the director, is amazing and the entire cast of that show is like talent central. I had so much fun!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: If you could voice the role of any other animated character, who would it be?
Adam McArthur: This is a super easy question for me to answer! Michelangelo from the Ninja Turtles is #1 on my voice acting bucket list! The original show had such an impact on me as a kid, I would LOVE to have that opportunity.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: If you could work with any other actor / actress in a future project, who would it be?
Adam McArthur: I would love to work with Jackie Chan on anything! I also have a bunch of personal friends in the business that would be amazing to work with too. Can my answer be anyone? I would like to work with anyone!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: If you could guest-star on any other TV show, which show would it be?
Adam McArthur: I think it would be super fun to guest on a show that has a similar fan base to Star Vs. The Forces of Evil. Also, a show like Steven Universe would be awesome and I think the fans would go nuts.

- Favorite song at the moment? – “Feel it Still” by Portugal. The Man. So good.
- Something fans may not know about you? I have 3 black belts and I can whistle without moving my mouth!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: What are some other upcoming projects that you’re working on that fans can look forward to?
Adam McArthur: New episodes of Star Vs The Forces of Evil are coming! I’ll also be voicing a bunch of characters in the new Far Cry 5, and a whole laundry list of things I can’t talk about yet. But stay tuned!!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Lastly, if you could bring out one message to all of your fans, what message would that be?
Adam McArthur: You guys are the best and drink lots of boba! And, #starco.
